Tamu Dhee SA Deusi Bhailo program 2024

Tihar, also known as the festival of lights, is a time of joy, music, and togetherness, with playing Deusi-Bhailo being one of its most cherished traditions. During the festival, groups of people, especially young boys and girls, go from house to house singing Deusi and Bhailo songs, blessing the homeowners with prosperity and happiness in exchange for offerings of money, food, and sweets. The atmosphere is filled with the sound of traditional songs, musical instruments like madal and tungna, and the cheerful voices of participants dressed in colorful attire. Families warmly welcome the performers, lighting oil lamps and decorating their homes with rangoli to create a festive ambiance. These gatherings not only strengthen community bonds but also help preserve cultural heritage, making Tihar a time of unity, celebration, and goodwill.
